About Vallecito Nordic Ski Club
At Vallecito Nordic you will find approximately 15km of nordic trails groomed for classic and skate skiing along the beautiful shores of Vallecito Reservoir! All of our grooming work is done by our superb volunteers and your financial contributions through your membership and donations (online or at the trail head) make it all possible!
Vallecito Nordic Ski Club is a registered 501C charitable organization. We collaborate with and operate under permits from the US Forest Service, the Pine River Irrigation District (PRID) on behalf of the US Bureau of Reclamation.
Ski trails are groomed for only nordic skiing and a separate snowshoe trail, starting just below Old Timers campground (our trailhead). No motorized vehicles are allowed (except for access to private property). No mechanical vehicles are allowed (Fat tire snow bikes, etc.). Fortunately there are countless other places to recreate on a fat bike or snow mobile.

A little History…
1995
Three guys — Rick, Buck and Rob — with an old snowmobile pulling a piece of chain link fence, got things started about 25 years ago. We continue in the tradition they established: Volunteers providing great skiing for man, woman, and beast (dogs at least) without trail fees!
We appreciate our groomers, board members, event coordinators, grooming coordinators, and our many active members.
All trails are maintained by our volunteer groomers through many hours of dedicated work.

Vallecito Nordic Club, Inc is a 501c3 not-for-profit federal tax exempt organization whose mission it is to provide a groomed recreational trail system for non-motorized use by outdoor enthusiasts of all ages and abilities through recreation, education and community building.
